Summer Fun!

So this summer has been filled with all sorts of firsts for little Ashlyn. We started off the summer with her 4mth doctor's appointment and she is very healthy and very tall 98th percentile! We started cereal and of course she loved it. During the summer we spend our mornings walking the park with friends and just had to get a jogging stroller, of which we are both grateful for. Ashlyn's first two vacations have also come and gone. We went to Navarre, FL with close friends of the family and even had time to meet up with some of our walking buddies. She slept most of the time on the beach but did manage to get her toes in the sand and water and didn't seem to mind one bit, it was HOT! After Navarre the next weekend we headed up to Charleston, SC for our cousin's wedding...her first formal :o) We had a great time visiting with family and enjoying the great food and sites. I have also had the great joy of getting to play with Ashlyn's hair and put it up more, I can't wait to start making more bows! The rest of the summer will consist of trying out veggies, walks in the park, and working on fine tuning our eating schedule for daycare. The school year will be here before I know it.

Yummmm Food!
The Jumperoo!

This has quickly become Ashlyn's new favorite thing to do. She can jump in it for 45min at a time (trust me she has done it). She is going to have very very strong leg muscles. These are pics from her first time jumping, she has grown into it a lot more lately. We don't have to put a telephone book under it any more either (yes I actually used a telephone book).

Little Ears
As the Dr. pulled the little wax scraper out I knew my mommy instincts were correct. Ashlyn has double ear infections. I have never seen a little one smile with such relief as the wax was removed from her little ears. I have seen the fancy tool before, Nick has one of his very own. Which also told me something I wasn't surprised to hear, she has little ear canals just like her daddy! So tonight we are on rounds of antibiotics, numbing ear drops (awesome), and Tylenol to manage some pain. Hopefully mommy and Ashlyn will get some much needed rest tonight and possibly tomorrow.
